Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) and the UH Tobacco Task Force are teaming up this Fall to provide a

FREE 12-week smoking cessation program!!!

We will be incorporating Pfizer’s smoking cessation program, Beat the Pack, in the curriculum.

ANYONE AND EVERYONE wanting to kick the habit is welcome!

Smoking is the number one preventable cause of death in America. Smoking elevates blood pressure, risks for lung cancer and an increased risk for stroke among other adverse health effects.

FOR SMOKERS WHO ARE READY TO QUIT, THE PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE:

– Behavioral counseling as well as suggest medications that could assist the quitting process

-Information on the benefits of quitting regarding health, time and money

-Innovative and creative solutions to kicking the habit

– Exposure to guest speakers from various fields that will focus on different topics and strategies to quit

-Engaging activities in which the participants will make their own tobacco reducing tools and quit kits

-Support and ideas of fellow participants and the Just Kick It team members

SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? IT’S TIME TO KICK THE HABIT AND KICK-START YOUR LIFE!

We will meet every other Tuesday for 12 weeks. The first meeting will be on September 18th from 5:30 – 6:30PM on the UH Main Campus in SEC Room 104. Just come and give it a try- even if you think you have the slightest desire in quitting! Take the first step to good health on this day and invest in the future of your health. We will be here to encourage you every step of the way. Live today better than yesterday!
